While working as the signage consultant of Six Senses Kaplankaya, we started the project after a local-minded research of the territory to make sure that there lies an idea, a story, or even a philosophy behind the concept. Thus, we wanted to ensure that the end results go beyond aesthetics and reach the desirable depth. We created the concept "Meeting of Different Cultures" - as the Aegean history is a beautiful example that shows meeting of different time periods, civilizations, cultures, architectural styles, monuments, materials... Therefore, we used different materials to create the feeling of togetherness and developed a material language, specific to the resort by using local stones and stone arts, specific to the territory.

A SHORT SUMMARY

Minimalism
—  at its finest

We wanted to reach a minimalist approach and define signage elements as parts of the landscape and interior architecture. We used the combination of stone, wood and metal in a minimalist way and added the fine touch of typography and light.

As the signage consultant of Six Senses Kaplankaya we have designed and created numerous signage items, ranging from the entrance pylon to exterior and interior standalone units, from warning signs to door numbers and key cards...

While working for the project, we paid great attention that sustainable and eco friendly materials of local origin were carefully selected, brouhgt together and processed delicately. The whole signage system was designed, created, produced and assembled in accordance with the philosophy of Six Senses, in harmony with the resort's architecture and with respect to the local territory and natural landscape.
